Over more than 40 years of activity, Horto do Campo Grande has created true bonds of friendship with private, institutional, and business customers, relationships that take on special symbolism at this time of year. During the Christmas season, many visit our gardens – Campo Grande, Quinta da Eira, and Fernão Ferro – in search of special ornaments, pieces, or inspiring decorative elements to transform their homes and organizations into places where the magic of Christmas happens.

It was during these visits, so special to us, that we invited some of our customers to share with us their Christmas memories and also which elements cannot be missing from their Christmas decorations this year.

As Christmas Eve approaches, we continue to share our customers’ Christmas stories. This time, singer Jorge Guerreiro tells us how he celebrates his Christmas at his mother’s house and the memories he holds dear.

Revelry, joy, and a full house – these are the memories I keep of my Christmas. My mother’s house is the headquarters, she takes care of the decorations and the food for this special season, and she introduced us to the love for this magical time.

Our tree, which is usually the same every year, reflects my mother’s passion for this season, with the traditional nativity scene always present. In every corner of the house, we can admire the glow of lights that are a constant presence in the decorations, radiating the brightness of this festive season.

Memories of my childhood Christmases take me back to a full house, after all, we were 7 siblings. In the days leading up to Christmas Eve, we lived in a flurry of activity, with dozens of gifts to wrap that completely filled my mother’s bed. They were moments of joy, enthusiasm, sharing, and above all, love.
