On March 21, Horto do Campo Grande (HCG) appeared on the SIC program “Estamos em Casa,” bringing with it the spirit of the new season and the excitement that accompanies it.
In the studio, Vera Quintas, Agronomist and Interior Designer at Horto do Campo Grande, led a session dedicated to gardening, designed to surprise actress Sofia Alves, a guest on the show who is passionate about the world of plants and vegetable gardens.
Throughout the segment, the benefits of using expanded clay (LECA – Lightweight Expanded Clay Aggregate) and plant substrates were presented, as well as four species particularly suited to Spring: Lavandula stoechas, Argyranthemum fruticosa, Pelargonium zonale, and Azalea, highlighting their characteristics, essential care, and decorative potential. The segment culminated in a symbolic gesture: the planting and gifting of an arrangement.

“This participation reflects Horto do Campo Grande’s ongoing commitment to taking knowledge beyond its own spaces, inspiring different audiences and encouraging a greater connection to nature in everyday life,” shared Diana Pinheiro, from the Marketing and Communication Dept. at HCG.
More than just a television appearance, it was an opportunity to show that caring for plants can be accessible, enjoyable, and transformative—an invitation to experience Spring in all its splendor, both inside and outside the home!
