ANDAZ LISBON – HYATT GROUP LUXURY HOTEL
OPENS IN THE HEART OF BAIXA POMBALINA

Located next to Praça do Comércio, in the heart of Lisbon, Andaz Lisbon is the city’s newest luxury hotel and part of the Hyatt group portfolio. The new five-star hotel combines high-level, quality service with a relaxed lifestyle atmosphere, creating a space with a strong connection to the local community and the city’s identity.

Andaz Lisbon features 170 rooms and suites and offers various amenities, including a fitness center, spa, and two dining spaces: the Luzzi restaurant, located on the rooftop with a privileged view over the city, and the Andaz Lounge, situated on the ground floor. Each space was carefully designed to combine contemporary luxury with the city’s characteristic charm, offering unparalleled refinement and comfort.
HCG had the privilege of being part of this project that enriches Lisbon’s hotel offering, providing the numerous green solutions found throughout the hotel’s different social spaces and some suites, contributing to environments of true enjoyment and contact with nature that manifest in the well-being provided to guests. And to ensure all these plants continue to project their full beauty, HCG also takes on their maintenance.

We spoke with Vera Quintas, Agronomist and Interior Designer from HCG’s Green Space Design and Construction Department, who led the team that executed this project. She shared the challenge of finding a collection of pots with a distinctive design that fit the hotel’s decor and concept while accommodating the different plants selected for each space, both indoors and outdoors—lobby and common areas, gym, suites, rooftop, and patio—contributing to more fluid, natural environments that welcome and convey well-being.
