Landscaping and outdoor décor project carried out by Horto do Campo Grande for the terrace at the Lisbon headquarters of Morais Leitão Law Firm, as part of the architectural project by Atelier POLEN Land Design. The aim was to create a more natural, comfortable, and functional space, designed to encourage moments of rest, socialising, and wellbeing in a work setting.
Concept and atmosphere
The goal was to create a contemporary, welcoming atmosphere, where the plant elements blend harmoniously with the architecture of the space. Custom Horto Collection metal planters were designed in different sizes and volumes, painted in a grey tone similar to the existing window frames, creating a balanced, dynamic set defined by a variety of greens, textures, and compositions.
The continuous Horto Collection benches with wooden slatted seats enhance comfort and introduce a subtle contrast with the understated metal elements, contributing to an elegant, functional visual language.
Species selection
The species selection prioritised plants suited to the outdoor conditions and the space’s daily use, creating a fresh, natural, visually light setting. The Horto Collection metal trellises placed along the terrace allow climbing and hanging plants to grow, creating green frames that soften the architecture and evoke a calm, tropical feel.
The species were carefully selected to ensure different tones, volumes, and textures throughout the space, reinforcing the sense of comfort and closeness to nature.
Maintenance and continuity
The solutions developed for the terrace were designed to ensure durability, comfort, and long-term aesthetic continuity. The made-to-measure Horto Collection planters, with an inner fibreglass lining, ensure strength and functionality, housing selected species to preserve the space’s natural, balanced atmosphere.
