The 2024 edition of Rock in Rio Lisboa was even more special, celebrating 20 years of the City of Rock in the Portuguese capital. The new location in Parque Tejo brought a fresh air to the festival, which was sold out for three days and welcomed more than 300,000 people. With five stages, it offered four days of music and entertainment for all tastes, reinforcing its place as one of the biggest music festivals in the world.

Horto do Campo Grande shares the commitment made by those responsible for this unique event – ‘For a Better World’, which aims to leave a positive and lasting legacy in the local community, through joint efforts that seek to implement innovative environmental solutions, and welcomes this partnership that has existed since the first edition of Rock in Rio Lisboa.

For the 2024 event, the Horto do Campo Grande team that developed the project that brought nature into the decoration of the VIP tent and its entrances selected a variety of plants that contributed to an elegant and cosy atmosphere. The plants were potted in Horto Collection flower boxes made of white fibreglass, a light and resistant material. With their personalised, minimalist design, these planters blend easily into the decor of any space.

A number of vertical gardens were developed, supported by custom-made structures in the Horto do Campo Grande workshops which, without taking up space, made it possible to create natural green walls that brought freshness and naturalness to the VIP tent. All these green elements provided guests with access to the venue with a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere in which to watch the concerts.

But Horto do Campo Grande’s work didn’t stop there: we decorated all the pergolas in the venue with baskets and plants, we planted flower beds full of plants on Rock Street, in the Tables Premium area, in the All Premium area, at the entrance to the Chef Garden area and in the dressing rooms of the stages: Mundo, Rock World Lounge, Digital Stage, Galp Stage, as well as in the production and media areas. And not even the toilet areas escaped the intervention of the Horto do Campo Grande, which received numerous structures for hanging orange petunias, the colour of the event, in association with the official sponsor, Galp.

At Horto do Campo Grande, we believe that nature has the power to transform places and create unforgettable experiences. Being present once again at Rock in Rio Lisboa, an event that celebrates music, art and culture, was also a source of inspiration for the whole team.
