The courses will take place at the Campo Grande garden, a central and easily accessible location in Lisbon. These practical courses add value to your professional activity and are essential for complying with current legislation and ensuring all safety rules are met.
Mandatory training for anyone wishing to renew their APF card for the purchase, transport, and application of Plant Protection Products. This applicator training, certified by the DRAP (Regional Directorates of Agriculture and Fisheries), must be successfully completed to issue the APF card renewal, which is valid for 10 years.
We recommend renewing your APF card by its 9th year of validity to prevent any delays in the issuance of the renewal.
Law No. 26/2013 of April 11 defines the qualifications required to be a Plant Protection Product Applicator.
Note: For APF cards expiring before May 15, 2026, enrolling in this training before the card’s expiry date allows for its renewal.
Minimum requirements: Holders of an APF course approved by the DRAP with a valid card.

- Placing plant protection products on the market.
- Marketing and distribution of plant protection products.
- Sale and storage of plant protection products.
- Production methods and sustainable use of plant protection products.
- General safety principles for the handling and use of plant protection products.
- General principles of risk reduction in the handling and application of plant protection products.
- General principles of risk reduction for the environment, non-target species, and organisms.
- Risk reduction for the consumer.
- Safe storage of plant protection products.
- Accidents involving plant protection products.
- Assessment: written knowledge test and reaction evaluation.
Upon successful completion of the course, a training certificate will be issued on the SIGO Platform, which is included in the course fee. You will receive your certificate in digital format (PDF) via email at no extra cost, or you can pick it up at our Campo Grande facilities. Sending certificates via CTT (post) has an additional cost of €10.
