Weber Grill Academy, part of Weber Store Lisbon at Garden Horto do Campo Grande at Quinta da Eira in Sintra, has once again sold out one of its themed courses. The “Fish and Seafood” training brought together participants with different levels of experience for an afternoon of hands-on learning, new recipes and plenty of socialising around the grill. Find out what this edition was like and learn why it continues to be one of the most sought-after experiences for anyone who wants to master the art of barbecue.
Some experiences start with a great barbecue and end up sparking a real passion for outdoor cooking. That’s exactly what happened on June 29, when Weber Grill Academy once again welcomed a full house for another themed training session.
The “Fish and Seafood” course sold out all available spots and offered an afternoon dedicated to discovering techniques, flavours and new ways to prepare some of the most popular summer bites.
Based at Garden Horto do Campo Grande at Quinta da Eira in Sintra, Weber Grill Academy continues to establish itself as a place where learning and sharing are part of the experience. Much more than teaching you how to use a grill, each training session helps you build confidence, learn new techniques and see how a Weber barbecue can go far beyond traditional grilling.

A training session where fish and seafood took centre stage
Under the guidance of Grill Master Gabriel Lascas and guest chef Diogo Vilela, participants experienced every stage of preparation, from choosing ingredients to different cooking methods, exploring the potential of Weber grills to cook fish, seafood and even delicious desserts.
Throughout the session, several recipes were prepared that showcased the versatility of barbecue.
Recreate these recipes at home, now available on the Weber Store Lisbon website:

Each recipe extends the experience lived at the Grill Academy and shows how you can explore new flavours using the barbecue in any season of the year. Visit the Weber Store Lisbon website here and discover the various recipes we’ve prepared for you!
In the end, as happens in every Grill Academy training session, after the certificates are handed out, the most anticipated moment arrives: everyone sits at the same table to taste the full menu, share experiences and clear up questions in a relaxed atmosphere, where socialising is part of the learning!
A Grill Academy that continues to win over more and more participants
The courses are certified by Weber and are aimed both at those taking their first steps in the world of barbecue and at those looking to refine techniques and discover new ways to cook.
Throughout the year, different themes let you explore meats, fish, pizzas, desserts and full menus, making each session a distinct experience. The hands-on element, the ongoing support from the Grill Master and the chance to try different equipment make each course especially rewarding.
The enthusiasm around these training sessions is such that the “Barbecue Tapas” course, scheduled for September, also sold out quickly. For this year, only the last spots remain for the “Christmas Special” course—an opportunity to learn recipes inspired by the festive season and discover new techniques to surprise family and friends around the grill.

Much more than courses: experiences that also bring teams closer together
Weber Grill Academy has also been standing out for its team-building activities, tailor-made for companies and organisations.
In a relaxed setting, surrounded by the nature of Quinta da Eira’s Garden, participants cook together, share tasks, tackle challenges and enjoy a meal prepared by everyone. This dynamic naturally encourages communication, team spirit and collaboration, turning a training session into a memorable experience for any group.
Each event is led by Grill Master Gabriel Lascas and adapted to each company’s goals, creating moments of togetherness that last long beyond the day of the event.

A place where barbecue is also enjoyed in contact with nature
After getting to know Weber grills, trying out accessories or taking part in a Grill Academy training session, it’s well worth exploring Quinta da Eira’s Garden!
Discover plants for the garden, outdoor décor solutions, furniture, pergolas and so many other ideas that help make any outdoor space even more comfortable and inviting.
It’s precisely this connection between nature, gastronomy and togetherness that makes the Weber Store Lisbon experience unique.
Anyone who visits this space will find not only a shop specialising in Weber grills, but also a place designed to inspire new ways to enjoy the outdoors, bring family and friends together and create moments around the table.

Learn from those who truly know the Weber world
At Weber Grill Academy, each course is an opportunity to discover techniques that are hard to learn just from recipes or videos.
According to Gabriel Lascas, Grill Master at Weber Grill Academy Lisbon: “Each training session is different because each group brings new questions, new experiences and new ways of looking at barbecue. Our goal is for every participant to leave here more confident, eager to try new recipes and to make even better use of their Weber grill. Whether it’s the first or the tenth time, there’s always something new to learn and to share around the grill.”
