The new La Brasserie de L’Entrecôte space, recently opened in Alvalade, featured the landscaping signature of Horto do Campo Grande. This is already the sixth restaurant of the brand in Lisbon, and represents another milestone in the growth of this iconic concept from the Portugália group, which celebrates 100 years of history in Portuguese catering this year.
The intervention, carried out by the Exterior Maintenance Department, had as its main objective to create a natural, harmonious environment with the atmosphere desired by the brand, as the department head Patrícia Brízida (Landscape Architect) tells us. The pots and plant species were carefully selected, in collaboration with Architect Mariana Xavier de Basto from Grupo Portugália Restauração, for the different areas of the space – interior and exterior – and took into account not only the existing light, but also the space that would be made available for this purpose and the colour palette of this restaurant chain.
Maintenance will be handled by HCG’s Interior Decoration and Maintenance Department, and as Filipa Costa Almeida, head of the department, tells us, it aims to ensure, in addition to healthy plant growth, the preservation of the identity and environment created.
The La Brasserie de L’Entrecôte unit at the Cascais Marina was also the subject of a recent renovation, also featuring the intervention of Horto do Campo Grande. In this space, with a privileged location and view over the marina and the Santa Marta lighthouse, the intervention sought to respect the surroundings, reinforcing the natural charm of the location. The selection of species and the arrangement of green elements took the environment into consideration, enhancing the harmony between the restaurant and the unique setting of the location.
This landscaping proposal contributed to the creation of an elegant and relaxed environment where the plants, in addition to bringing naturalness, with the recognised benefits for well-being, allow the delimitation of spaces in a fluid way without creating visual barriers. The maintenance of the plants at the Cascais Marina unit will also be ensured by HCG’s Interior Decoration and Maintenance Department, guaranteeing continuity and quality over time.
In a space where the simplicity of a classic dish is celebrated – sliced steak with chips and the famous secret sauce – the plants bring freshness and balance to the surroundings, contributing to an even more welcoming and distinctive dining experience.
