Openbook, the company that developed the Novobanco Campus adaptation project, designed a new social space on top of one of the buildings. This large 200 m2 space features a set of custom-made Horto Collection planters in various shapes and sizes, lacquered in the client’s chosen color and treated for anti-corrosion, arranged all around the area. These planters are equipped with an irrigation and drainage system, specially designed by Horto do Campo Grande professionals, to keep the plants in ideal conditions.
A selection of hardy Mediterranean plants, adapted to terraces with high sun exposure and requiring low maintenance, was chosen to decorate the planters. A selection of species that ensures blooms in various colors and shades throughout the seasons, along with trailing plants with contrasting foliage colors and textures.
Protective glass was installed all around the terrace to ensure safety; this material conveys a sense of lightness and preserves the view of the sea and surrounding landscape, one of the space’s highlights.
The project also included custom-made HortoCollection benches designed by Openbook, featuring a metal structure lacquered in the same color as the planters and natural wood seats, as well as fencing in the same finish. This ensures aesthetic cohesion and allows employees to enjoy their leisure time in a comfortable, harmonious environment.
