Family: Rubiaceae
Origin: Japan and China
Description: The Gardenia Jasminoides has exuberant blooms and an unmistakable aroma. Its glossy dark green foliage should be kept in shady areas. Flowering takes place in mid-spring and early summer. The Gardenia does not like calcareous water, nor does it tolerate wind or frost well. Outdoors, they can be grown on a terrace or even a balcony, as long as you respect this flower’s preferences. It can be kept indoors in a pot, as long as it is near a window with plenty of light.
Lighting: Half shade
Watering: Make sure the soil is always moist, but never soaked. To do this, you can use a spray bottle, alternating watering with sprays at the base of the bush.
Fertilising: It is advisable to fertilise the Gardenia every 15 days.
