Description: Graceful semi-double flowers in a pleasant peach tone are produced from base to tip in large clusters of up to fifteen well-spaced blooms. The flowers have a loose, open cup form with about twenty petals arranged around a cluster of golden stamens. This variety forms an extremely healthy shrub with tall, airy growth. It was named after the much-loved musical piece by Ralph Vaughan Williams.
Light Requirements: Prefers full sun or partial shade.
Watering: Shrub roses require regular watering, especially in hot or dry climates.
Fertilizing: Fertilize in spring and after each flowering cycle to maintain plant health.
Care: Prune once a year, preferably in winter, to maintain shape and encourage blooming. Thrives in mixed borders, rose hedges, shaded areas, and wild settings.
Trivia: Named after Ralph Vaughan Williams’s musical piece The Lark Ascending, recently voted the UK’s favorite by listeners of BBC Radio 4’s Desert Island Discs.
