Common names: Monstera, Adam’s Rib
Family: Philodendron
Origin: Central and South America
Monstera is a climbing plant, which stands out for its ‘bumpy’ leaves. It is easy to care for and prefers abundant indirect light and an environment with a temperature between 18 and 27ºC. It is a plant that easily adapts to the environment in which it is located and, therefore, is the perfect companion for both beginners and more experienced people in the world of plants. It is essential to clean its leaves once a month and throughout its growth a stake must be placed so that the plant can guide its branches upwards (in nature it does this naturally using the trunk of the trees).
Luminosity: Indirect light.
Watering: During spring and summer, maintain good humidity at soil level, leaving only the first third (top) to dry between waterings, reduce the frequency of watering during autumn/winter.
Fertilization: Apply a dose of fertilizer once every 2 months during spring.
