Haws was designed for people who live and work in the city for a certain period of time, and offers its guests everything they need to truly immerse themselves in the culture of the neighbourhood. The accommodation, in a privileged location, has unobstructed views of the city and vibrant, cosy flats. Creating a space inspired by the neighbourhood and the experiences of the local community was the starting point, to provide residents and guests with an environment where they can come together and share good times.

.

Discover the selection of floor plans for this project

It is through the imposing white wrought iron gate, topped by the blue logo, that Haws Lisboa welcomes its guests. Upon entering the accommodation, everyone is greeted by a pleasant outdoor area with modern, colourful furniture that makes you feel like hanging around. The gravelled pavement is interrupted by round flowerbeds with a green, creeping covering of Dichondra repens, to which have been added some taller plants such as Phormium tenax purpurea, breaking up the monotony and where, in each one, a tree of a different species (Acer pseudoplatanos; Cercis siliquastrum; Magnolia grandiflora) makes a strong presence.

At the end of the flowerbed, which runs along the wall, a bespoke flowerbed in the shape of a half-moon, Horto Collection, was developed to delimit the leisure area – the terrace – from the entrance itself. Vera Quintas, the landscape architect at Horto do Campo Grande, chose species such as Acanthus molli; Agapanthus africanus blue; Asparagus densiflorus myersii; Clivia miniata; Fatsia japonica; Festuca glauca; Hemerocallis hibrida; Ophiopogon japonicus mínima; Phormium tenax purpurea; and Trachelospermum jasminoides, plants that help to delimit the circulation spaces of the living areas. The entire space has been fitted with an irrigation system that allows for efficient water management.

On all the balconies, green brushstrokes, true notes of nature, contrast with the blue of the tiles lining the entire building, as if to invite guests to have a chat with their neighbours.
