More than ever, sustainability and ocean conservation are an urgent issue and need everyone\u2019s support and involvement. The Mirpuri Foundation Sailing Trophy regatta challenges the world\u2019s best sailors to compete for the future of the oceans, aiming to raise awareness across the whole community about conserving marine life and protecting the oceans. \u201cThe future is in our hands\u201d is the motto of the Mirpuri Foundation Sailing Trophy, which arrives in Cascais on July 9, bringing the town a weekend full of adventures, events, and plenty of adrenaline. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n

The third edition of the \u201cA Thousand Mile Race\u201d has a route, as the name suggests, of 1,000 nautical miles. It\u2019s a demanding regatta that brings together more than 100 yachts for a race that challenges the world\u2019s best sailors and boats. Jack Bouttlell, Ben Shawartz, Alex Gough, Thierry Fouchier, and Lucas Chapman are some of the team leaders who will be competing in the Mirpuri Foundation Sailing Trophy regatta.<\/p>\n\n

Sport and sustainability hand in hand<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n

The Mirpuri Foundation Sailing Trophy promotes a weekend full of adventures for all ages. From coastal regattas, which challenge the best yachts to explore the Portuguese sea, to the \u201cYouth Challenge\u201d, a sailing trophy for younger sailors, the agenda will be packed across Cascais. The world\u2019s most sustainable trophy will be awarded:the Ocean Award, which recognises excellence in the scientific community and provides monetary prizes for innovative projects with a positive impact on the oceans. The plastic-free event will also be part of this wave of sustainability and will introduce \u201cThe Good Bottle\u201d, the first 100% compostable, fast-degrading bottle.<\/p>\n\n

The Horto do Campo Grande <\/strong>is pleased to be associated with the Mirpuri Sailing Trophy festival which, in addition to being a nautical competition, links its image and mission to sustainability and the oceans.
