The Heritage Avenida Liberdade hotel reopened its doors af<\/strong>ter a short break for a complete renovation of all areas. With the aim of updating the hotel\u2019s image without losing its his<\/strong>t<\/strong>ory and tradition dating back to the 18<\/strong>th century, the work was led by the MCM architecture studio, headed by architect Miguel C\u00e2ncio Martins, who was also<\/strong>in charge of building the unit in 2007. Horto do Campo Grande is proud to contribute to this project, which perfectly combines nature with the hotel\u2019s sophisticated setting.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

Located on Lisbon\u2019s prestigious Avenida da Liberdade, this historic building, dating back almost three centuries, underwent a carefully planned renovation to offer a contemporary experience while keeping authentic elements that tell the story of Portugal. Original pieces and elements the building carries from other times were preserved and restored. The interiors were updated to harmonise materials, colours, textures and every detail, creating a welcoming and elegant atmosphere.<\/p>\n\n

General Manager Diogo Laranjo noted that \u201cthe space where the hotel reception is today used to be a herbalist\u2019s shop. We took care of those details and didn\u2019t let memories and traditions die\u201d An example of this is a wooden and glass structure that used to serve as a display case where plants were kept and exhibited, and \u201ctoday it has become the counter where we welcome our guests\u201d, he says.<\/p>\n\n

Heritage Avenida Liberdade now has a renewed, fresh and modern aura. Each piece of furniture was carefully selected, meeting high standards of quality and comfort, evident throughout the decoration process. Under the leadership of architect Miguel C\u00e2ncio Martins, the hotel underwent a transformation in the common areas, leisure areas, and in its 42 suites and rooms. The renovation made it possible to offer \u201can experience that connects the past with greater contemporaneity, following new trends and an aesthetic that is also aligned with our city, Lisbon\u201d, concludes Diogo Laranjo.<\/p>\n\n
