On a windowsill in colourful pots, in planter boxes on the terrace, in a garden bed, or in a pot in the living room or kitchen, they’re ideal for brightening up any space in autumn and winter, as in our climate the flowers appear at the end of autumn and last until early spring. They also have the advantage of requiring little maintenance. Use your creativity and mix different colors of this plant, which is considered a plant of “lasting feelings and sincere affection.” Note that after flowering, the cyclamen goes dormant and, although it may look like it has died, it’s still alive.

Scientific name: Cyclamen persicum
Common names: Cyclamen, Persian cyclamen, Aleppo cyclamen
Family: Myrsinaceae
Origin: Greece, Mediterranean region
Category: Outdoor plant
Approx. height: 30 cm
Pot diameter: 12 cm

CUIDADOS
Light: Partial shade (preferably direct sun in the morning) or diffused/filtered light
Watering: Frequent, with caution.
