With soft, wide, and thin abundant leaves giving it a dense small-to-medium palm appearance, this plant loves warmth and humid environments. Maintenance is very simple as long as the plant is placed in a well-lit spot. At home, place it in a corner with plenty of indirect light, at a mild room temperature year-round, and away from heating/cooling systems. It is the perfect plant for those who want to create a tropical environment at home, without having to spend a lot of care. It is quite resilient and belongs to the “air-purifying plants” group as it helps remove toxins from indoor air. It’s also a great choice for pet owners as it is non-toxic to animals (and people). In optimal conditions/in the ground, this little palm can grow up to 2 m, although it may take decades to reach that size.

Scientific name: Chamaedorea elegans
Common names: Chamaedorea Palm, Bamboo Palm, Camadoréa, Dwarf Palm, Elegant Chamaedorea, Chamaedorea, Parlour Palm
Family: Arecaceae
Origin: Central America (Mexico)
Climate: Tropical
Category: Indoor plant
Approximate height: 60 cm
Pot diameter: 17 cm

CARE
Light: Plenty of indirect/filtered light.
