Scientific name<\/strong>: Ligustrum chinensis<\/em> CUIDADOS<\/strong><\/p>\n Light<\/strong>: Can be placed indoors near a sunny window with at least 2 to 3 hours of daily sun. Keep away from heating\/cooling systems and rotate 180\u00ba weekly. It can also be kept outdoors year-round, as long as it’s protected from strong winds and frost. It enjoys spending the warm months outdoors and is very sensitive to a lack of direct sunlight.<\/p>\n Watering:<\/strong> It consumes a lot of water, especially when it has new leaves. Water the soil thoroughly until water flows freely from the drainage holes to ensure even moisture. Always water from above, never by immersion, using a fine-rose watering can. Allow the top layer of soil to dry out slightly between each watering (to check if the plant needs water, touch the soil with your fingers). If you use a tray under your Bonsai, never leave standing water in it (to prevent root rot). There’s no benefit to misting the leaves. Only do so if applying foliar fertilizer, but ensure the leaves are dry by nightfall to prevent fungi.<\/p>\n Feeding<\/strong>: From Feb to Oct\/Nov with suitable products. If kept indoors year-round, ensure you choose the right product, as its growth requires good fertilization and it benefits from iron supplements specifically for bonsais.<\/p>\n Pruning<\/strong>: Let 6 to 8 leaves grow, then prune back to the first few leaves.<\/p>\n Repotting<\/strong>: Perform in Feb-Mar with heavy partial defoliation.<\/p>\n WARNING!
