Scientific name<\/strong>: Ligustrum chinensis CUIDADOS<\/strong><\/p>\n Light<\/strong>: Can be placed indoors, near a window well exposed to the sun, with a minimum of 2 to 3 hours daily, away from heating\/cooling systems, and should be rotated 180\u00ba weekly. Can also be placed outdoors year-round, as long as it’s protected from strong winds and frost. Enjoys spending the warm months of the year outdoors and is very sensitive to lack of direct sunlight.<\/p>\n Watering:<\/strong> It consumes a lot of water, especially when it has new leaves. Water the soil abundantly until plenty of water comes out through the drainage holes, to evenly moisten the soil – always from above, never by immersion, with a fine-rose watering can. Allow the top layer of soil to dry out slightly between each watering (to check if the plant needs water, touch the soil with your fingers). If you place a saucer under the Bonsai, never leave standing water (to prevent roots from rotting). There is no advantage in spraying the leaves. Do so only if the fertilizer you apply is for foliar application, but ensure the leaves are dry by nightfall to prevent fungi.<\/p>\n Nutrition<\/strong>: From Feb to Oct\/Nov, with suitable products (if kept indoors year-round, also ensure you choose the correct product, as its growth requires good fertilization, and it likes iron supplements suitable for bonsai).<\/p>\n Pruning<\/strong>: Allow 6 to 8 leaves to grow, then cut back to the first leaves.<\/p>\n Repotting<\/strong>: Suitable in Feb-Mar, with strong partial defoliation.<\/p>\n WARNING!
