The Ficus benjamina<\/em> is a timeless plant. A classic. It never goes out of style, is elegant, and highly ornamental. It\u2019s perfect for filling an empty corner in any room, whatever your d\u00e9cor style\u2014 it fits minimalism, looks great in modern and sophisticated spaces, and works beautifully in more romantic or classic looks, as well as rustic d\u00e9cor. On top of that, it\u2019s low-maintenance and belongs to the group of plants that help purify indoor air, making it an excellent choice for offices, shops, or clinics. Compared to the \u201ccommon\u201d Ficus benjamina<\/em>, this Ficus benjamina \u2018Danielle\u2019<\/em> has the iconic elliptical leaves with slight ripples on the edges, in a slightly darker green tone, and they\u2019re also glossier. In our mild climate, Ficus can be planted (or kept in pots\/planters) outdoors, as long as they\u2019re in a spot sheltered from direct sun during the hottest hours. Also keep in mind that this plant, as it grows, becomes a tree with a considerable size (it can exceed 10 m), so\u2014if planted in the ground\u2014make sure it\u2019s kept away from underground pipes to prevent the roots from damaging them. It can also be used as a shade tree, or kept in shrub form, and it\u2019s an excellent option for hedges (if placed in spots sheltered from direct sun for long hours, especially in the afternoon).<\/p>\n
