Chamaedorea elegans is generally more compact and shorter. Chamaedorea seifrizii does well indoors and, like the ‘elegans’, enjoys warmth and humid environments. Its abundant, broad, fine leaves and tall habit give it an exotic look, much loved in interior décor. It likes a spot with good light and doesn’t need much care. At home, place it in a corner with plenty of indirect light, at a mild room temperature year-round, and away from heating/cooling systems. It’s the perfect plant if you want to create a tropical vibe at home. It’s hardy, belongs to the “air-purifying” plants as it helps remove toxins from indoor air, and it’s a great choice if you have pets because it’s non-toxic to animals (or people). In optimal conditions/in the ground, this little palm can grow up to 2 m, although it may take decades to reach that size.

Scientific name: Chamaedorea seifrizii
Common names: Chamaedorea Palm, Bamboo Palm, Camadoréa, Dwarf Palm, Elegant Chamaedorea, Chamaedorea, Parlour Palm
Family: Arecaceae
Origin: Central America (Mexico)
Climate: Tropical
Category: Indoor plant
Approximate height: 1.20m
Pot diameter: 24cm

CARE
Light: Plenty of indirect/filtered light.
