\nThe Maranta leuconeura ‘kerchoveana’<\/em> is a compact herbaceous plant, loved for its vibrant foliage. Its leaves show shades of green with darker veins and markings that look hand-painted. This plant is a true work of art from Nature\u2014an eye-catching d\u00e9cor piece that adds a touch of sophistication and exotic flair to any home. Like all Marantas, this one also moves its leaves through nyctinasty, opening them during the day and closing them at night. Place it in a bright spot, but out of direct sunlight, so it keeps its exotic look and the colours we love so much. Make sure watering is moderate, ensuring the soil remains slightly moist in the top layer but never waterlogged, and watch out for stagnant water in saucers or decorative pots without drainage holes. After watering, ensure that drained water doesn’t sit to prevent root rot or drowning the plant.<\/p>\n

CUIDADOS<\/strong>
Light<\/strong>: Requires abundant indirect light. Direct sun is not recommended and can burn the leaves. On the other hand, low light reduces the contrast of its colors and part of the plant’s beauty will be compromised.
Temperature<\/strong>: Thrives best between 18 \u00b0C and 27 \u00b0C. It is sensitive to late
Watering<\/strong>: The substrate should be kept slightly moist only at the top between waterings, as they don’t tolerate dryness. But they also don’t tolerate waterlogging (watch out for standing water in saucers or decorative pots without drainage holes). A good technique is to water when the first 2 cm are dry to the touch. 
Humidity<\/strong>: Given its origin, this is a plant that appreciates high humidity levels (65-85%) so it shouldn’t be in environments with heating\/cooling systems (they dry the air), and you can use a humidifier, trays with pebbles and water, or group it with other plants to create a microclimate and increase the relative humidity in your home.
Fertilization<\/strong>: Fertilize once a month during spring and summer with balanced fertilizer. Reduce or suspend in winter.
