When we say the flowers are solitary, it means that each one grows alone at the tip of the branches, unlike other plants that have flowers in groups or clusters. These flowers start with a conical shape and can reach up to 25cm in diameter when open, with white or creamy/milky white petals and a centre full of purple stamens. The fruits resemble small oval pine cones about 10cm long. They appear vertically on the branches and change from pink to brown as they ripen. When they open, they release bright red seeds about 1 to 1.3cm long.

Scientific name: Magnolia grandiflora
Common name: Magnolia
Family: Magnoliaceae
Origin: Southeastern United States
Approximate height: 80-90cm
Pot diameter/capacity: 23cm (7.5L)

CUIDADOS
Light: Full sun.
