Native to Madagascar, its soft, grey-green leaves are covered in fine hairs and feature grey-purple or dark brown margins and tips. Like other succulent species and varieties, it’s a very hardy, low-maintenance plant—ideal for sheltered spots in dry/xerophytic gardens, protected balconies, or bright indoor spaces. Because it’s a succulent with a different-than-usual look, very easy to care for, and it also belongs to the group of plants that help purify the air around them (by filtering toxins), it’s an excellent gift option!

Scientific name: Kalanchoe tomentosa ‘Nigra’
Common name: Cat Ear, Black Panda Plant
Family: Crassulaceae
Origin: Madagascar
Climate: Tropical to Semi-arid
Category: Indoor or outdoor plant
Approximate height: 20cm
Pot diameter: 14cm

CUIDADOS
Light: Grows well in areas with plenty of bright, indirect light (direct sun only in the morning or late in the day).
Watering: Infrequent – water only when the substrate is completely dry, as it dislikes constantly moist soil.
