It grows slowly, is very hardy, low-maintenance, and extremely ornamental, making it ideal for bright indoor d\u00e9cor, succulent arrangements, &#8220;Rock Gardens&#8221;, sustainable\/dry\/xerophytic gardens, or to keep on its own in small to medium pots.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Scientific name<\/strong>: <em>Echeveria &#8216;Blue Prince&#8217;<\/em><br \/><strong>Common names<\/strong>: Blue Prince Echeveria, blue echeveria<br \/><strong>Origin<\/strong>: Ornamental hybrid of the Echeveria genus, descended from species native to Mexico<br \/><strong>Climate: <\/strong>Tropical and subtropical<br \/><strong>Family<\/strong>: <em>Crassulaceae<\/em><br \/><strong>Category<\/strong>: Indoor or outdoor plant<br \/><strong>Approximate height<\/strong>: 20cm<br \/><strong>Pot diameter<\/strong>: 14cm<\/p>\n<p><strong>CUIDADOS<\/strong><br \/><strong>Light<\/strong>: Grows well in areas with plenty of bright, indirect light (direct sun only in the morning or late in the day).<br \/><strong>Watering<\/strong>: Infrequent \u2014 water only when the substrate is completely dry. In winter, reduce watering frequency. (watch out for saucers with standing water and non-draining decorative pots where water can be retained). If kept outdoors, in winter place the plant in a sheltered spot away from excess water. Avoid water accumulating in the center of the rosette. Avoid water collecting in the centre of the rosette and don\u2019t use pots without drainage holes.<br \/><strong>Temperature<\/strong>: Ideally 10\u201330 \u00b0C. Adapts well to mild\/Mediterranean climates. If kept outdoors, it should be placed in a sheltered spot during the coldest months, as it doesn\u2019t like frost.<br \/><strong>Fertilising<\/strong>: Use a fertiliser suitable for succulents, following the instructions on the product label.<br \/><strong>Soil<\/strong>: Use a substrate suitable for cacti and succulents.<br \/><strong>Pet-friendly<\/strong>: Plants in the Echeveria genus are generally classed as non-toxic to pets, according to veterinary databases such as the ASPCA.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fun fact<\/strong>: When exposed to plenty of bright, indirect light, the bluish colour will be more intense and the rosette more compact.<\/p>\n<p>WARNING!
