It should be grown in full sun as it needs at least 6 hours of direct sunlight daily to flower and then produce fruit. It appreciates soils rich in organic matter, light, well-drained and slightly moist (does not tolerate drought periods). It appreciates mild climates, so it does well in our country, although you must pay close attention after planting as it cannot go thirsty or be too exposed to the sun during the hottest hours while not yet well-rooted, or it may not survive. It is very demanding regarding fertilization during the growing and fruiting season. The leaves are dark green, and the small yellow flowers cluster in inflorescences. The fruits, known as tomatoes, come in various colors, shapes and sizes, depending on the variety grown.

Scientific name: Solanum lycopersicum
Common names: Tomato plant, Tomato, Common tomato
Family: Solanaceae
Origin: Central and South America
Climate: Temperate, subtropical
Category: Outdoor plant
Approximate height: 35-40cm
Pot diameter/capacity: 12cm/ 1L

CUIDADOS
Light: Prefers direct sun exposure, requiring at least 6 hours of daily light to ensure good fruit production.
Temperature: Develops best between 20°C and 30°C.
