Low maintenance, it can be kept indoors or outdoors (as long as it’s in a sheltered spot). When combined with similar plants or other tropical-looking species, it creates the perfect look for the “Urban Jungle” trend. It is also a very ornamental and elegant element in contemporary gardens. Indoors, it rarely exceeds 1m in height, flowers (outdoors this may happen in spring), or bears fruit (outdoors this may happen in autumn). Outdoors, it can reach up to 4m. Fatsias can filter toxins from the air around them, such as formaldehyde, toluene, and benzene, making them an excellent choice for offices and bedrooms.

Scientific name: Fatsia japonica
Common names: Japanese Aralia, Fatsia, Aralia
Family: Araliaceae
Origin: Asia (Japan and Korea)
Climate: Mediterranean, Oceanic, Subtropical, Tropical
Category: Indoor or outdoor plant
Approximate height: 70 cm
Pot diameter: 19 cm

CUIDADOS
Light: Prefers plenty of indirect light.
