Lavandula dentata ‘Candicans’<\/em> is a lavender of great ornamental value, prized for its elegant silver-grey foliage with soft texture, delicately serrated edges and delicate violet flowers, which give it high ornamental value even outside the flowering season. Drought-resistant, easy to maintain and highly attractive to pollinators, it’s an excellent choice for Mediterranean gardens, pots and planters. CUIDADOS<\/strong>
Light<\/strong>: Requires direct sun exposure. For compact growth, more silvery foliage and abundant flowering, at least 6 hours of sun per day is recommended.
Watering<\/strong>: Moderate. Water regularly after planting, reducing frequency as the plant establishes. Tolerates drought periods well. Avoid prolonged waterlogging. If in a pot, watch out for saucers and decorative pots without drainage holes where irrigation or rainwater can stagnate, promoting root rot.
Temperature<\/strong>: Very resistant to heat, wind and drought. Tolerates light frosts, but may suffer during prolonged periods of intense cold, so in colder areas of the country, it should be protected during the coldest months of the year.
Soil<\/strong>: Prefers light, well-drained and low-fertility substrates\/soils. Adapts well to calcareous and sandy soils.
