On the contrary, Rhipsalis<\/em> prefer humid, mild environments and lower light conditions. They require similar care to epiphytic plants (e.g. Orchids, Bromeliads, Ferns), as in their natural habitat, they grow on large tree trunks, where their long trailing stems can reach up to 10m in length! Outside the tropical forests where they originate, they’re unlikely to reach such a size… The green stems, made up of numerous branches, will grow much less, yet their appearance will be just as lush and original, making this plant a splendid interior decor piece, perfect for hanging pots or for placing on shelves, tall furniture, or vertical gardens, enjoying the incredible effect of the trailing stems. It’s also a very hardy plant that doesn’t require much care and tolerates various environments, although it prefers spaces with plenty of filtered\/diffused light, mild temperatures, and some humidity.
