An intervention designed to enhance the spaces, strengthening their identity, comfort, and the customer experience.

Bringing nature into the spaces

The main goal of the intervention was to support the refurbishment and modernisation process of Portugália Cervejaria Belém, in the Espelho de Água building, next to the Padrão dos Descobrimentos, integrating greenery in a way that is coherent with the architecture, the brand concept, and the customer experience. Introducing plants indoors, outdoors, and at access points made it possible to create more welcoming environments with a stronger connection to nature.

Enhancing terraces and outdoor spaces

Terraces now play a central role in the dining experience, especially in locations of major urban and tourist relevance. Using plants helped soften the urban surroundings, create natural visual barriers, and turn these spaces into green retreats—more inviting and peaceful.

Custom Horto Collection planters

To define and enhance the terrace, custom-made Horto Collection planters were used, with a personalised finish. These planters, with an acrylic structure, not only made it possible to create a continuous green barrier, perfectly tailored to the space layout and the brand identity, but also create a safety barrier. Beyond the aesthetic aspect, these planters ensure durability, resistance, and proper water management, ensuring the longevity of the intervention.

Species selection

The choice of species took into account aesthetic and functional criteria, as well as adaptation to the site’s specific conditions, such as sun exposure, wind, and proximity to the river. Species such as Metrosideros, Myrtus, Rosmarinus, Loropetalum, Pittosporum ‘Nana’, Stipa, and Festuca provide a variety of textures, movement, and visual interest throughout the year, while also ensuring resilience and low maintenance requirements.

Ongoing maintenance and support

To ensure the quality and good condition of the spaces over time, the Portugália Group also used Horto do Campo Grande’s maintenance service. Regular, specialised support that ensures plant vitality and the aesthetic coherence of the intervention, reinforcing the project’s durability and positive impact.

With this intervention, Horto do Campo Grande strengthens its role as a strategic partner in hospitality projects, contributing to the creation of more human, welcoming spaces aligned with each brand’s identity.

Find out more about this project by reading the full article here.

Landscape intervention project developed for the Portugália Group, in the year the brand celebrated 100 years of an iconic history in Portuguese dining.

[771
post-86201","projects","type-projects","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","categoria_projecto-exteriors
["GET
