Novobanco\u2019s Campus, located in Taguspark in Oeiras, has gained a new social area on the top of one of the buildings. The project, developed by Openbook, reflects a contemporary approach to workplace wellbeing, combining design, functionality, and integration with nature.<\/p>\n\n
On this new 200 m\u00b2 rooftop, Horto do Campo Grande was responsible for delivering the landscaping and technical solutions, creating a green, comfortable, cohesive environment that invites people to take a break and share moments with colleagues.<\/p>\n\n
The intervention\u2019s central element was the installation of a set of Horto Collection planters, custom-made for the space. In different shapes and sizes, these planters were powder-coated in the colour chosen by the client and received anti-corrosion treatment, ensuring durability and visual harmony. Placed around the entire perimeter of the terrace, the planters include concealed irrigation and drainage systems, designed by Horto do Campo Grande\u2019s technical team, ensuring ideal conditions for plant growth and simplified maintenance.<\/p>\n\n
The main criterion for selecting plant species was resistance to wind and sun exposure\u2014key characteristics of an open rooftop. Mediterranean plants were chosen, with low water needs and minimal maintenance, ensuring a sustainable space that stays vibrant all year round. Carefully selected, the species add colour and texture, with flowers in different tones and trailing plants that soften the edge of the planters, creating a natural, dynamic setting.<\/p>\n\n
To enhance comfort and aesthetic consistency, Horto Collection benches were installed, also custom-designed, with a metal frame powder-coated in the same colour as the planters and seats in natural wood. The set is complemented by a metal fence in the same finish and protective glass panels all around the terrace\u2014a solution that ensures safety without compromising the privileged views over the surrounding landscape.<\/p>\n\n
For landscape architect Vera Clara, head of Horto do Campo Grande\u2019s Design and Construction of Green Spaces Department, this project shows \u201chow the Horto Collection brand can transform and organise any outdoor space, with solutions that are fully customisable in size, colour, and materials\u201d. According to the architect, \u201cthese integrated solutions that combine planters, benches, fencing, and invisible technical systems make it possible to create functional, aesthetically coherent spaces, both in corporate and residential settings\u201d.<\/p>\n\n
