The 6-year-old Acer Palmatum Bonsai is an outdoor bonsai perfectly suited to Mediterranean climate conditions. With very red leaves in spring, which gradually turn burgundy in summer/autumn and fall in winter. Ideally, protect it from the hot summer sun to prevent leaf scorch, and from winter frosts.
Once adapted to the climate, it’s a fast-growing bonsai that fascinates us with its diversity throughout the year. It has a smooth trunk bark and palmate leaves with 5 lobes that change colour through the seasons and resemble cannabis leaves.
As for watering, it should be watered generously in summer and moderately in winter. Ideally, keep the soil always moist. Acer likes its leaves to be misted, so keep a spray bottle handy.
