We share a roundup of events held during February and March 2023 that were supported by HCG:

RedEmprega Lisboa Job Fair
On February 28, the first Job Fair organized by the RedEmprega Lisboa Program in collaboration with the 7 Networks for Employability took place. The event was held at Estúdio Time Out, Mercado da Ribeira, and was attended by several companies and institutions, as well as candidates looking for new job opportunities. The RedEmprega Lisboa program is a partnership between Lisbon City Council, the Aga Khan Foundation, and the Portuguese Association for Supported Employment (APEA), and offers valuable support for those seeking employment. HCG, aware of its social responsibility, commends the initiative and reinforces its commitment to supporting actions that promote employability and the development of society. As such, it partnered with the event, providing plants and creating a more welcoming and natural environment. As a result of this fair, we were able to integrate two candidates!
Meo Rip Curl Pro Portugal 2023
Between March 8 and 14, Supertubos Beach in Peniche hosted the MEO Rip Curl Pro Portugal, the third stage of the 2023 world surfing circuit season. The event featured 54 surfers from around the world, including three Portuguese: Frederico Morais (eliminated), Teresa Bonvalot (9th), and Yolanda Hopkins (5th). Brazilian João Chianca and American Caitlin Simmers were the big winners of the competition. The circuit attracted over 150,000 fans and is considered “the largest beach sporting event in Europe.” MEO was the main ambassador of the event for the 13th consecutive year. And, as is customary, Horto do Campo Grande provided plants in Horto Collection fiber planters that were integrated into the space’s decoration, making it greener and more natural.
16th Water Congress
Water is a vital and scarce resource, so it is crucial that there is a joint effort to preserve it and use it consciously and sustainably. Aware of the importance of encouraging more and more people to adopt sustainable practices, Horto do Campo Grande supported the 16th Water Congress, whose theme is “Living with Water,” an event organized by the Portuguese Water Resources Association (APRH) between March 21 and 24. Together, we will ensure that future generations have access to this precious and indispensable resource for life on the planet.
Memorable concert by the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra celebrating Renascença’s 85th anniversary
On the evening of March 19, Altice Arena in Lisbon was the venue for a special event—the celebration of Rádio Renascença’s 85th anniversary, with a sublime concert by the renowned Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra. Horto do Campo Grande was part of the celebration, showcasing the ongoing partnership with Renascença through the wonderful azaleas placed in front of the stage and the planters at the VIP entrance, creating a more welcoming and natural environment, and the delivery of bouquets for the conductor and solo violinist. President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa was in attendance and took advantage of the celebration to announce that Renascença will receive the title of honorary member of the Order of Public Instruction in recognition of its contribution to the education of the Portuguese people over the past 85 years. Congratulations to Renascença and the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra for providing a truly exceptional evening.
Special “Spring” broadcast of Dois às 10 on TVI
On March 21, TVI’s morning program, Dois às 10, featured a special themed broadcast dedicated to Spring, presented by Cristina Ferreira and Cláudio Ramos. To create an environment evocative of the season, Horto do Campo Grande contributed tall and lush trees in planters scattered throughout the space and a carpet of tall grass to create a garden setting. The special set added a touch of freshness and nature to the program, making the experience visually pleasing for viewers.

To celebrate International Women’s Day, which recognizes the strength, courage, and resilience of women, Tom sobre Tom Magazine, a professional beauty magazine, in partnership with Solange Cabeleireiros, challenged Horto do Campo Grande to hold a giveaway on this special date, March 8. The winners enjoyed a “Diva” experience at La Maison Solange Cabeleireiros, which included a makeover with Solange Silva featuring gloss service, hair treatment, and styling finish, and a gel polish manicure with nail artist Monyke Amaral.
