Ingredients

  • Fresh sausages;
  • 1 savoy cabbage;
  • Bacon to taste;
  • 2 peeled tomatoes;
  • 1 bay leaf;
  • 1 garlic clove;
  • 1 onion;
  • Virgin olive oil to taste;
  • Coarse salt to taste;
  • Pepper to taste.

Preparation method

  • Separate the larger cabbage leaves (one for each sausage), wash them and blanch them in boiling water until they start to wilt.
  • Drain them and let them cool.
  • Then wrap the sausages tightly in each cabbage leaf, with the sausage parallel to the stem and set aside.
  • Make a sauté with the chopped onion, garlic clove, bay leaf, olive oil and diced bacon.
  • When golden, add the finely chopped peeled tomatoes, letting them cook for a few minutes.
  • Add a glass of water and when it boils, season with salt and pepper.
  • Then place the sausages in the pot, close together so they don’t fall apart while cooking. Let it simmer for half an hour until the broth reduces by half and they’re deliciously ready to serve.
