It is with great satisfaction that Horto do Campo Grande has taken on the maintenance of the outdoor green spaces of the Official Residence of the Ambassador of the United States of America in Portugal.

Located on Rua do Sacramento à Lapa in Lisbon, this residence stands out not only for its location and architectural grandeur, but also for its green surroundings, which include a set of historic gardens that play an active role in the cultural life of the city.

Known as Casa Carlucci, a name that pays homage to Frank Carlucci, former US ambassador in Portugal, this property is a mansion built in 1878 by the Count of Olivais and Penha Longa. Since 1927, it has been leased to the US government and continues to serve as an official diplomatic residence to this day.

Its gardens have been the scene of visits and prominent initiatives, such as the Open Gardens Festival. This event, which opens private and little-known gardens in the city to the public, included the participation of the residence and offers guided tours and digital content about the space, promoting dialogue between natural heritage and the urban context.

The Horto do Campo Grande now has the privilege of contributing to the preservation and enhancement of this emblematic space, ensuring that its gardens remain cared for and prepared to welcome visitors in perfect harmony.
