Family: Cactaceae
Origin: Africa and South America
Description: The Rhipsalis Baccifera is a tropical plant from the cacti family that usually grows hanging from the trunks of large trees. The long hanging stems, which in their natural habitat can grow up to 10 metres long, make it a very attractive and original plant. As an indoor plant, the stems grow much shorter, making it an excellent choice for placing in a hanging pot or on top of a piece of furniture.
The Ripsalis is a very hardy plant that tolerates various types of environment. However, it prefers to be placed in spaces with plenty of light, but without direct sunlight, at a mild temperature. The substrate should be rich in organic matter and watering should be moderate, choosing to water when the surface of the soil begins to dry out.
Light: Indirect sun
Watering: Moderate
Pet Friendly: The Ripsalis is not toxic to pets, but it is always advisable to exercise caution and keep the plant out of reach to avoid excessive consumption.
