Zamioculca Zamifolia
Attractive due to the shine of its leaves, Zamioculca is a small plant that can reach between 40 and 60 cm. It is one of the ideal plants for making a natural presence in interior decoration. Its thick, round roots and fleshy leaves, which curiously grow straight out of the ground, allow it to accumulate water inside. For this reason, the Zamioculca doesn’t need much water and should be watered between once and twice a week, depending on its environment. When in doubt, choose not to water, as the plant may not withstand excessive watering.
Originally from Africa, Zamioculca does not like being directly exposed to the sun, making it the ideal plant for spaces without direct light, living rooms, entrance halls, bedrooms or even offices. But beware, if you have pets or children, don’t put it in accessible places, as it is a poisonous plant if ingested. Like people, this plant evolves with age. In its most immature phase, its leaves are green and as it grows, they turn purple.
