Codiaeum variegatum “Petra” is a specific variety of Croton spp.. Both options refer to ornamental plants known for their colorful leaves, but “Petra” refers to a hybrid/cultivar with specific foliage characteristics (broader leaves, yellow veins and red margins, which can reach about 1.5 to 3 meters in height), while “Croton spp.” is the generic term for the genus, which encompasses all varieties such as “Petra”, “Zanzibar” or “Mammy”. The Croton Petra is a plant bursting with tropical colors that will “warm up” and bring life to your home’s interior, as all its leaves have incredible color patterns that depend on the amount of light they receive to maintain their characteristic vibrant tones.
