Galp Interiors and Rooftop

Galp’s new headquarters in Alcântara, next to LX Factory, is located in the ALLO complex (Alcântara Lisbon Offices) and reflects the brand’s innovative and sustainable spirit. The building, designed by Openbook in partnership with Tétris, was created to inspire creativity, collaboration and wellbeing, combining modernity with the integration of nature.

Horto do Campo Grande played a central role in this project, handling the design, supply and maintenance of the plants in the indoor, outdoor and rooftop areas. An intervention that reinforces Galp’s commitment to innovation and sustainability, creating environments that energise and bring people closer together.

Nature inside the building

The interior design follows organic lines that complement the transparency of the architecture. Plants, present in different areas, become centrepieces or subtle accents, but always integrated harmoniously.
Indoors, we chose species with strong visual impact and suited to the light conditions of each space, such as Ficus elastica, Kentia forsteriana, Monstera deliciosa, Phlebodium aureum, Spathiphyllum and Strelitzia nicolai. Their presence, in metal planters from the Horto Collection line, customised in shape, size and colour, reinforces the project’s identity and enhances the furniture.

A rooftop with Mediterranean character

Outdoors, the selection prioritised native species that are resilient to the Mediterranean climate, with low watering needs and high resistance. The Horto Collection planters were filled with Lantana, Loropetalum, Myrtus communis, Pittosporum variegata, Rosmarinus, Stipa and Westringia fruticosa, creating a mix of textures and shades of green.
On the rooftop, two large planters with olive trees and lavenders stand out, while beds with Abelia, Curio ficoides, Crassula, Phormium variegata, Pittosporum nana, Santolina and climbing Trachelospermum jasminoides promise, in the short term, to cover pergolas and provide extra coolness.

Sustainability and ongoing maintenance

A large part of the planting was carried out in Horto Collection planters made of galvanised sheet metal with an anti-corrosion finish, ensuring durability and aesthetic integration.
The outdoor areas are equipped with a drip irrigation system controlled by a timer, automatically adjusting water needs and preventing waste. Maintenance, carried out by specialised gardeners from Horto do Campo Grande, includes cleaning, pruning, weeding, hoeing and plant health treatments, ensuring plants are always healthy and vigorous.
