Haws Lisboa Terrace

Haws is an accommodation that was designed for people who live and work in the city for a certain period of time, and offers its guests everything they need to truly immerse themselves in the culture of the neighbourhood. Creating a space inspired by the neighbourhood and the experiences of the local community was the starting point for providing residents and guests with an environment where they can get together and share good times.

Outdoor area

Upon entering Haws Lisboa, everyone is greeted by a pleasant outdoor area with modern, colourful furniture that makes you feel like staying in. The gravel of the pavement is interrupted by round flowerbeds with a green, creeping covering of Dichondra repens, joined by some taller plants such as Phormium tenax purpurea, which break up the monotony and where, in each one, a tree of a different species (Acer pseudoplatanos; Cercis siliquastrum; Magnolia grandiflora) makes a strong presence.

On all the balconies, Strelizias Nicolai and Ficus Benjamina, placed in terracotta pots and in custom-designed and produced Horto Collection planters, blend in with the decor and allow spaces to be defined, making them more intimate and cosy.

Horto Collection planters

In the extension of the flowerbed, a custom-made Horto Collection planter was developed to delimit the leisure area – the terrace – from the entrance itself. Vera Quintas, the landscape architect at Horto do Campo Grande, chose species such as Acanthus molli; Agapanthus africanus blue; Asparagus densiflorus myersii; Clivia miniata; Fatsia japonica; Festuca glauca; Hemerocallis hibrida; Ophiopogon japonicus mínima; Phormium tenax purpurea; and Trachelospermum jasminoides, plants that help to delimit the circulation spaces of the living areas.
