Committed to sustainability and social responsibility, a growing trend in the hotel industry, JAM Hotels presents a unique and innovative approach with a collection of simple, urban hotels. Each hotel adapts to the roots of the city in which it is located, with a touch of surprise, festivity and comfortable sustainability.
Along the facade, Jam Lisboa has a series of benches and planters in pink-coloured concrete, where customers can enjoy a pleasant outdoor area that projects into the interior through the extensive glazing. A selection of exuberant and decorative plants was chosen for these planters. Plants with a great visual impact from tropical climates that, with different textures, colours and shapes, project nature and integrate into the decoration of these common areas.
The top floor, with a privileged view of the river Tejo, has a bar area, swimming pool and terrace. The plants chosen here were mainly maritime climate species, due to their resistance and good adaptation, but also due to the lower maintenance they require, as many of them are located in areas that are difficult to access.
In the planters we find Mediterranean plants, resistant to the weather conditions that an exposed terrace requires, and aromatic plants such as mint, used in the cocktails served to clients.
To conceal the technical areas, where the air conditioning equipment is located, for example, around 120 Horto Collection planters were produced and installed. These custom-made planters (in shape and finish) have been specially treated for the conditions to which they are exposed (painted with special paint, resistant to climates with high salinity, for greater longevity), and have been planted with various species that have also added value to the building’s facade.
