Openbook, the company that developed the project to adapt the Novobanco Campus, designed a new lounge area at the top of one of the buildings. This large 200 m2 space received a set of Horto Collection flower boxes, of different shapes and sizes, made to measure, lacquered in the colour chosen by the client and with anti-corrosion treatment, which were displayed all around the area. These planters are equipped with an irrigation and drainage system, specially designed by the professionals at Horto do Campo Grande, which keeps the plants in ideal conditions.

For the decoration of the planters, a set of Mediterranean plants was chosen, resistant and adapted to terraces with great sun exposure, and with low maintenance needs. A selection of species that guarantees flowering in various colours and shades in the different seasons, as well as hanging plants above the planters, with foliage in contrasting colours and textures.
Protective glass has been installed all around the terrace to ensure the safety of those who use it, a material that transmits lightness and allows the view of the sea and the surrounding landscape to be maintained, a strong point of this space.

This project also included the installation of HortoCollection benches, made to measure and following Openbook’s design, with a lacquered metal structure in the same colour as the flower boxes and a natural-coloured wooden seat, as well as a fence in the same finish, guaranteeing the aesthetic cohesion of the space and the enjoyment of employees’ leisure time in a comfortable and harmonious environment.
“This is a great example of how the HortoCollection by Horto do Campo Grande brand can be an asset in organising, decorating and harmonising any outdoor or indoor space. Our products allow the client to realise spaces that are 100% made to measure, whether in terms of size or finish, as well as the overall solution proposed. As well as planters, the entire technical system that remains hidden – drainage and irrigation – benches, wooden and glass fences, we offer complementary products such as sofas, pergolas, vertical gardens, which are built from the same materials and finishes and which elevate any outdoor space, creating functional, design-led, comfortable and useful environments.” explains Vera Clara, the landscape architect responsible for the Design and Construction of Green Spaces Department at Horto do Campo Grande.
