Silver Sword - Sansevieria trifasciata 'Moonshine' (14cm pot)
Sansevieria ‘Moonshine’ is a modern variety of the popular Snake Plant, grows up to 60cm tall and is very popular due to the silvery-platinum green tone of its leaves. Depending on the light, they appear to have a greyish-blue color – hence its name! Like other Sansevierias, this variety also requires little maintenance, and it’s almost impossible for it not to survive indoors, except if you overwater it. On the other hand, the soft silver coloration that is so characteristic may be lost if you place it in overly shady locations. Even though it tolerates reduced light, the leaf tone may be lost. Like other Sansevierias, this one will also help purify the air, making it an ideal choice for indoor environments. Cleaning the leaves regularly is recommended to keep them looking beautiful.

Light: Enjoys indirect light and tolerates lower light environments, however, in shadier environments the leaves will tend to turn dark green (losing the silver tone)
Watering: Allow the soil to dry completely between waterings. This is one of those plants where, when in doubt, it’s better to wait and water a few days later.
Soil: Light and well-drained (suitable for cacti and succulents, preferably).
Pruning: Remove only dry/damaged leaves to keep the plant healthy and identify potential pests/fungi.
Fertilization: Applying during the growing season (spring-summer) is sufficient to provide the necessary nutrients to the soil.
Not pet friendly: Considered toxic to pets if ingested in large quantities.
