Creator: David Austin
Description: Large clusters of deeply rounded flowers, each with a small group of stamens.
Initially in a mid-pink tone, almost lilac-pink, the flowers fade as they open, with each petal delicately defined by crimson edges. Supported above the foliage, the flowers sway gracefully on softly arching growth and have a sweet, fruity fragrance. A healthy variety, it forms a branching shrub covered with glossy foliage.
Light Requirements: Prefers full sun or partial shade.
Watering: Shrub roses require regular watering, especially in hot or dry climates.
Fertilizing: Fertilize in spring and after each flowering cycle to maintain plant health.
Care: Prune once a year, preferably in winter, to maintain shape and encourage blooming. Thrives in mixed borders, pots, containers, and shaded areas.
Trivia: The name was inspired by the novel The Mill on the Floss by George Eliot, published in 1860. The work reflects on the dilemmas and challenges of family and social life.
