The new La Brasserie de L’Entrecôte space, newly opened in Alvalade, features landscaping by Horto do Campo Grande. This is now the brand’s sixth restaurant in Lisbon and represents another milestone in the growth of this iconic concept from the Portugália group, which is celebrating 100 years of history in Portuguese catering this year.
The main objective of the project, carried out by the Exterior Maintenance Department, was to create a natural, harmonious environment with the desired atmosphere for the brand, as explained by the head of the department, Patrícia Brízida (Landscape Architect). The pots and plant species were carefully selected, in collaboration with Mariana Xavier de Basto, architect at the Portugália Restaurant Group, for the different areas of the space – interior and exterior – taking into account not only the existing light, but also the space that would be available for this purpose and the colour palette of this restaurant chain.
Maintenance will be carried out by HCG’s Interior Decoration and Maintenance Department, and as Filipa Costa Almeida, head of the department, points out, the aim is to ensure not only the healthy growth of the plants, but also the preservation of the identity and atmosphere created.
La Brasserie de L’Entrecôte in Cascais Marina has also undergone a recent renovation, also involving Horto do Campo Grande. In this space, with a privileged location and view over the marina and the Santa Marta lighthouse, the intervention sought to respect the surroundings, reinforcing the natural charm of the location. The selection of species and the arrangement of green elements took the environment into account, enhancing the harmony between the restaurant and the unique setting of the location.
This landscaping proposal contributed to the creation of an elegant and relaxed atmosphere where the plants, in addition to bringing a natural feel, with their recognised benefits for well-being, allow spaces to be delimited in a fluid way without creating visual barriers. The maintenance of the plants at the Cascais Marina unit will also be ensured by HCG’s Interior Decoration and Maintenance Department, guaranteeing continuity and quality over time.
In a space that celebrates the simplicity of a classic dish – sliced steak with chips and the famous secret sauce – the plants bring freshness and balance to the surroundings, contributing to an even more welcoming and distinctive dining experience.
