Sago Palm - Cycas revoluta (17cm pot)
The Sago Palm is an elegant plant with a tropical, exotic appearance as it is native to the Asian continent. Very hardy, it likes mild temperatures but tolerates both heat and cold well. In low-light and/or poorly ventilated locations, it will be susceptible to pests (e.g. scale insects). It has a thick, columnar trunk covered with long, rigid leaves of a yellowish-green color. Although it grows slowly, it will develop a wide crown, so when planting it, you should consider the space it will need as it grows. It can be grown directly in the garden as a standalone plant, in groups, or in a pot. The Cycas revoluta propagates by separating new shoots formed around the mother plant.

Light: Full sun or partial shade (direct sun only during part of the day). Although it appreciates plenty of sunlight and is a robust plant, avoid placing it in locations where it is exposed to full/direct sun during the hottest hours of the warmest months (especially if in a pot).
Watering: Regular – allow the soil to dry slightly between waterings. Maintaining some moisture is beneficial. Do not waterlog.
Humidity: Given its origin, it appreciates areas with higher humidity levels.
Soil: The soil to use should be for outdoor plants, enriched with organic compost and sand, a light and permeable mix.
Pruning: Remove dry leaves to keep the plant beautiful and healthy.
Not Pet Friendly: All parts of this plant are toxic if ingested by dogs, with the seeds being the most toxic.

Yes, you can choose to pick up your products at one of our 3 Garden Centers (Campo Grande, Quinta da Eira-Sintra, and Fernão Ferro).
After the order is shipped, the system sends an email to the address provided by the customer with the tracking number from CTT, our distribution partner, so you can track the order.
To ensure you receive the products in the best condition, only one delivery attempt is planned. We suggest you choose a day and time when someone will be home to receive the order, provide a contact phone number, and include any useful instructions in the notes.

For legal reasons, when plants leave our Garden Centers, their phytosanitary passport loses its validity, so they cannot be placed back into the commercial circuit. Therefore, we cannot exchange or accept returns for plants or flowers.

After receiving the product, you have 14 days to communicate your intent to return it (Article 10 of Decree-Law No. 24/2014); after communication, you have another 14 days to send the product.
